New Year

This year started off really amazingly. I have seen God do wonderful things during this past month. Please be patient with me as I share a few stories!

Our Homestead Campus celebrated Christmas Eve in a most amazing way. After finding out that we would not be able to hold a service at the school where we typically meet, we came up with doing our Christmas Eve service at a local park. We had no idea what to expect, but we had rented 300 chairs and began to pray that they would all be used. We began our set up at 1 PM Christmas Eve. Our volunteers passed out hot chocolate and cookies as the time grew near for the service to begin. Our 6:00 start time was pushed back slightly due to problems with the lighting, but at 6:15 we were ready to begin. To our surprise and delight, people began flooding in. By the time Pastor Blackwood arrived to preach, not only were all of the seats filled, but there were 100 plus people standing beyond the seated area. The atmosphere was energetic and families were together enjoying the Christmas celebration. I got home around 10 but could not go to sleep because of the adrenaline pumping. It was awesome to see God work through a creative solution!
